The Aircraft Maintenance Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and supervising the daily maintenance operations for the AMO, collaborating closely with the moderate and heavy maintenance coordinators.

The responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising the upkeep of all aircraft within the Starlink fleet for daily maintenance tasks, ensuring readiness for flight operations. These daily maintenance tasks include:
  • Overseeing Service and Base Checks,
  • Managing configuration alterations,
  • Updating aircraft flight databases,
  • Conducting quick visual inspections (e.g., fire extinguishers, life vests, flashlights, smoke goggles, first aid kits, chip detectors, etc.),
  • Coordinating tire and brake replacements,
  • Performing DEEC downloads, FHDB downloads, APU readouts, etc.,
  • Conducting lubrication activities,
  • Weight and balance assessments,
  • Removing and installing batteries, CVR, and FDR for testing or inspection,
  • Other daily responsibilities.

Overseeing aircraft departures and arrivals with available technicians on-site; managing AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations and off-site deployments; planning mid-term operations (+/- 75 hours) for specific medevac aircraft to ensure efficient and timely operations; acting as a liaison among various departments by coordinating with flight operations, customer service, and sales to integrate all maintenance activities into the overall AMO operations; identifying and resolving maintenance challenges, including troubleshooting, and collaborating with the aircraft fleet manager to devise solutions; ensuring that all maintenance tasks are executed safely and in compliance with MPM, MCM, and safety protocols; maintaining precise records of all maintenance activities, including schedules, work orders, and inspection reports; monitoring MELs (Minimum Equipment List); updating the logbook with upcoming maintenance items; managing personnel schedules and controlling overtime (excluding performance evaluations and disciplinary actions); monitoring recurrent defects and advising PRMCS; maintaining an organized and clean work environment; overseeing oil consumption; ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and utilizing only approved equipment and materials provided by the company.

  • College diploma or equivalent;
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and operations;
  • Ability to perform tasks according to aircraft specifications and maintenance manuals;
  • Experience or knowledge of Corridor (an asset);
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite;
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status;
  • Eligibility for obtaining a restricted area identity card (RAIC);
  • Valid class 5 driver's license;
  • Current passport.
