ROAD STAR TRUCK LINE LTD. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Short Haul Truck Driver to join our team.

As a Short Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across regional routes. Your duties will include loading and unloading cargo, performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and ensuring the overall maintenance of your assigned vehicle.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials within designated regions.
  • Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, identifying any potential issues and addressing them promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch, relaying updates on your location, ETA, and any unforeseen circumstances.
  • Adhere to all applicable traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing safety at all times.
Qualifications
  • Possess a valid AZ class license with an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Hold a Class 1 or A Driver's License.
  • Have a Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset.
