Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Interload Truck Service Ltd. as a Long Haul Truck Driver.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Travel Arrangements: Plan and book travel itineraries, including accommodations and transportation, to ensure efficient and safe travel.
  • Drive in Team or Convoy: Operate a commercial vehicle in a team or convoy setting, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from the truck, ensuring proper securing and handling of cargo.
  • Operate Trucks: Drive a commercial vehicle to transport materials, goods, and equipment, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Inspect and Maintain Vehicle: Regularly inspect the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, performing necessary repairs and maintenance as required.
  • Record Trip Information: Accurately record trip information, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any issues encountered during travel.
Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel cross-border and internationally, as required by the job.
Work Environment
  • Work Conditions: Work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and performing tasks that require physical stamina.
  • Required to Sit for Long Periods: Spend extended periods sitting while driving, which can be physically demanding.
Personal Qualities
  • Flexibility and Reliability: Demonstrate flexibility and reliability in meeting travel schedules and deadlines.
  • Work Term: Permanent position with a regular schedule.
  • Work Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Hours: 40 to 60 hours per week, depending on the route and schedule.
