Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at ROAD STAR TRUCK LINE LTD. as a Freight Transporter. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of our vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Emergency Roadside Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs to ensure that our trucks are always in good working condition.
  • Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure that our vehicles are safe and compliant with regulations.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure the longevity of our vehicles.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to our central dispatch team, ensuring that all cargo and vehicle information is accurately recorded and communicated.
  • Cargo Management: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure that our operations are efficient and compliant with regulations.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of all cargo, including tarping and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods: Safely transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • AZ Class License: Possess a valid AZ class license.
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement: Hold a valid Air Brake (Z) endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A): Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate: Hold a valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate.
  • Work Term: Work on a permanent basis.
  • Work Language: Work in English.
  • Hours of Work: Work 30 to 40 hours per week.
