Job Summary

At CAN-Truck 2009 Inc., we are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license.
  • Communication Systems: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
  • Transportation Experience: Long-haul, national, provincial/territorial, and regional experience.
  • Security and Safety: Bondable, criminal record check, driver's validity license check, driving record check (abstract), drug test, and medical exam.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license, willing to travel for extended periods, and willing to travel overnight.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, large workload, overtime required, sitting, and up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
