Senior Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer to join our team at Tri-Mach Group Inc. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing mechanical devices for machinery and large structures in a custom manufacturing environment.
With over 35 years of experience in custom manufacturing, we are a leading manufacturer of sanitary processing equipment serving essential industries. Our ideal candidate will have a college diploma/university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field, with a minimum of 10 years of Mechanical Design experience in a custom manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical devices for machinery and large structures
- Work on custom projects, including conveyors, platforms, and other components used in the food and pharma industries
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure project success
- Take ownership of projects from concept to design, fabrication, and installation
- Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of product line, preferred practices, and industry standards
- Communicate project status with key stakeholders
- Lead and contribute to product development, product realization, and continuous improvement projects
- Mentor and train junior team members on company standards, best practices, and design processes
- College diploma/university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field
- Minimum of 10 years of Mechanical Design experience in a custom manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Solidworks (or similar 3D software) and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Solidworks PDM preferred
- Design experience with exposure to structural and/or stainless-steel products
- Familiar with working with weldment functions, sheet metal functionality within a 3D software
- Ideal experience working with conveyor systems and/or sanitary equipment used in the food industry
- Good communication skills with the ability to work with engineering teammates and shop floor staff
