Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and deploying machinery and equipment, working as a bridge between customers and our engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop preliminary concepts for customer quoting purposes
- Engage with customers at a technical level to understand specific requirements
- Liaison with third parties to verify product claims
- Develop and execute presentations internally and to customers
- Assist in estimating labor and material costs for quoting purposes
- Identify technical risks and mitigate issues
- Participate in concept reviews, design kickoffs, and manufacturing reviews
- Travel to customer locations as required
- Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma
- Professional Engineering Certification (PEng) or working towards it
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D
- Knowledge of the food industry, food safety, and/or sanitary design principles
- Ability to function in a self-directed environment and work independently
- Able to solve complex technical problems and use critical thinking
- Able to maintain professionalism when dealing with clients
