Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing various mechanical devices that will be vital in developing machinery and/or large structures. The ideal candidate will have a college diploma or university degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in a custom manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design various mechanical devices for machinery and/or large structures
  • Work closely with our team of Project Managers and Shop Personnel to ensure project success
  • Develop extensive knowledge of product line, preferred practices, and all applicable industry standards
  • Regularly communicate project status with key stakeholders
  • Lead and contribute to product development, product realization, and continuous improvement projects by working cross-functionally with the Innovation and Manufacturing groups
Requirements
  • College diploma or university degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in a custom manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Solidworks (or similar 3D software) and AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks PDM preferred
  • Design experience with exposure to structural and/or stainless steel products
  • Familiar with working with weldment functions, sheet metal functionality within a 3D software
