We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at Tri-Mach Group Inc. As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing various mechanical devices that will be vital in developing machinery and/or large structures.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop custom mechanical devices, including conveyors, platforms, and other components used primarily in the food and pharma industries.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure project success throughout the project lifecycle.
- Take ownership of projects, from concept to design, fabrication, and installation.
- Develop extensive knowledge of product lines, preferred practices, and industry standards.
- Regularly communicate project status with key stakeholders.
- Lead and contribute to product development, product realization, and continuous improvement projects.
- College Diploma or University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Mechanical Design experience, preferably in a custom manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Solidworks or similar 3D software and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Solidworks PDM is an asset.
- Design experience with exposure to structural and/or stainless steel products.
- Familiarity with working with weldment functions, sheet metal functionality within a 3D software.
- Ideal candidate will have experience working with conveyor systems and/or sanitary equipment used in the food industry.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work with engineering teammates and shop floor staff.
