About the Role

We're excited to invite talented and motivated software developers to join our award-winning team at Robinhood to help expand our mobile experience for customers.

The Identity Platform team's mission is to enable Robinhood products in democratizing finance by effectively and efficiently protecting users and the firm from malicious actors. The team owns key areas such as Onboarding, User Identity (PII Verification, KYC, Compliance, Selfie verification, Document Verification, etc.) & Fraud (Identity theft, Synthetic identity, ACH, Debit Card fraud, etc.)

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with a dedicated mentor to navigate through Robinhood's technology stack and learn about the financial domain.
  • Collaborate with a fast-growing team to revolutionize finance at speed and scale.
  • Develop smooth, stable, and elegant products using Kotlin and the newest Android APIs.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Developers, and the Data team.
  • Utilize Kotlin, Coroutines, RxJava, Retrofit/OkHttp, Dagger, and Room.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in Android Development from industry roles, internships, hackathons, or other side projects.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for writing clean, readable, and maintainable code.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, and Jetpack.
  • Motivation to improve Robinhood's app and codebase to ensure the highest quality for customers.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for solving technical challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred; equivalent training or work experience also acceptable.
