Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Electromechanical Technologist with a strong focus on service and results, who is passionate about tackling technical challenges associated with state-of-the-art high-speed automated packaging systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test new machinery and equipment.
  • Possess experience with packaging systems, conveyors, and servo mechanisms.
  • Implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose equipment issues to identify root causes and propose effective long-term solutions.
  • Operate and maintain various machining tools including lathes, mills, engravers, and welders.
  • Examine technical drawings or samples to ensure precise production standards.
  • Conduct accurate measurements, plan task sequences, and select suitable machine settings for various machining tasks.
  • Utilize welding equipment to join components.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on output.
  • Recognize the need for machine maintenance and execute minor repairs as necessary.
  • Provide training to team members on machine operations when required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as a Millwright, Assembler, or Machine Fitter in an Automation or Packaging Machinery setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.
  • Proven capability to complete assemblies within specified timelines.
  • Adhere to industry best practices for maintaining a disciplined, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and technical communication skills in English.
