About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at HAPPY JACK'S RESTAURANT. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, taking into account their specific requirements.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring that all equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized.
Work Environment

As a Culinary Specialist at HAPPY JACK'S RESTAURANT, you will work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift heavy objects.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills.
