Quality Assurance Supervisor

Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail. As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Quality Technicians in the Quality Department
  • Perform tasks on the shop floor, including inspection of incoming materials, in-process inspection, and final goods inspections
  • Responsible for maintenance of QMS Quality Management System for ISO 9001 and ASME VIII
  • Coordinate third-party inspection for NDE and compliance
  • Manage and control on-hold inventory
  • Be responsible for the traceability and identification of materials
  • Issue and ensure completion of Non-Conformance reporting
  • Perform Supplier and internal audits when required
  • Prepare all QA documentation for each job completed
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years' experience in Quality Assurance, including two years' supervisory experience
  • Diploma or degree in Quality, Engineering, and/or Business or similar discipline
  • Certification and experience as an Internal Auditor, an asset
  • ASME Section VIII background preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Possess technical background and knowledge of welding and testing standards
  • Detail oriented
  • Take a hands-on approach to their work
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to fit into a dynamic team
