Quality Inspector Job Description

Canduct Industries is a leading manufacturer of electrical insulation, primarily used for cooling oil-cooled transformers. We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team in London, ON.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect inbound material, work in process, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Complete dock audits and verification of associates' paperwork, creating reports as needed.
  • Assist with investigations regarding non-conformances and ensure output meets quality standards.
  • Test finished products to ensure all requirements are met prior to shipping.
  • Use technical skills and knowledge to identify problems and inspect causes.
  • Accurately document the results of inspections to review and maintain records using electronic systems.
  • Follow all health and safety precautions and policies enforced.
  • Communicate with the shift Supervisor or Quality Assurance Manager regarding production progress.
  • Ensure all steps are completed throughout the processing of customer products.
  • Understand and develop a daily routine to complete tasks and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Support other departments as needed based on qualifications.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of quality-specific work experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Physical ability to perform job requirements, including bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, standing for long periods, walking, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings.
  • English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to take ownership of position and job duties.
  • Analytical skills and strong time management.
  • Great attendance is a critical requirement.
