Position Summary
As a Payroll Data Analyst, your main duty will be to evaluate and interpret data associated with the rollout of a new payroll system. You will collaborate closely with the project team to collect and verify data, execute data cleansing and transformation, and deliver insights and recommendations derived from your analysis.
Primary Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the project team to ascertain data needs for the payroll system rollout.
• Collect, verify, and assess data from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Execute data cleansing and transformation to guarantee consistency and integrity.
• Create and sustain data models, reports, and dashboards to visualize and communicate data analysis results.
• Detect trends, patterns, and irregularities in data, providing insights and recommendations to enhance payroll processes.
• Work closely with stakeholders to comprehend their data analysis requirements and deliver tailored reports and analysis.
• Partner with IT teams to ensure seamless data integration and migration from legacy systems to the new payroll framework.
• Conduct data validation and reconciliation to maintain accuracy and consistency across various systems.
• Aid in the formulation and execution of data quality control measures to uphold data integrity.
• Remain informed about industry best practices and trends in data analysis, applying them to the payroll implementation process.
Essential Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience as a data analyst or in a comparable role, ideally within the payroll sector.
• Strong command of data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Proficient in data manipulation and cleansing techniques.
• Familiarity with database management systems, data warehousing, and data integration principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to interpret complex data and present insights clearly and concisely.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
• Capability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Understanding of payroll processes, systems, and compliance standards is advantageous.
