Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst at Desjardins, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and leveraging data to support business initiatives and improve decision-making. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Optimizing data performance and scalability through data extraction, validation, and analysis using complex queries and algorithms
  • Identifying, extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making
  • Designing and implementing data models and structures adhering to data architecture standards
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines and workflows for automated data processing and delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with data governance and security protocols
  • Performing data quality checks and issue resolution using data cleansing techniques
  • Evaluating data extraction inquiries, confirming integrity, and providing insights
  • Representing the data team in various meetings and presentations
  • Resolving data issues
  • Leveraging statistical and analytical methods for data manipulation and interpretation
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to implement business intelligence solutions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business, or a related field
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English
  • Advanced proficiency with datasets, coding, and analysis tools
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and/or SAS, with complimentary skills in Python and R
  • Advanced proficiency in business analytics
  • Proficiency with PowerBI and Denodo
  • Knowledge of the Insurance and Financial Services industry
