Job Title: Data Analyst

Desjardins is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join their Commercial Lines Data Monitoring and Implementation team. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and leveraging data to support business initiatives, improve decision-making, and drive business performance. Effective bilingual communication is key.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize data performance and scalability with data extraction, validation, and analysis using complex queries and algorithms.
  • Identify, extract, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making.
  • Design and implement data models and structures adhering to data architecture standards.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows for automated data processing and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security protocols.
  • Perform data quality checks and issue resolution using data cleansing techniques.
  • Evaluate data extraction inquiries, confirm integrity, and provide insights.
  • Represent the data team in various meetings and presentations.
  • Resolve data issues.
  • Leverage statistical and analytical methods for data manipulation and interpretation.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement business intelligence solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English.
  • Advanced proficiency with datasets, coding, and analysis tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and/or SAS, with complimentary skills in Python and R.
  • Advanced proficiency in business analytics.
  • Proficiency with PowerBI and Denodo.
  • Knowledge of the Insurance and Financial Services industry.
