Project Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director - Mechanical Engineer to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our Mechanical Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver projects successfully.
- Business Development: Promote the services of our Mechanical Engineering business unit to potential clients, identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to win new projects.
- Team Management: Supervise, support, and develop the skills of project managers under your supervision, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to excel in their roles.
- Project Management: Manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring compliance with budgets, deadlines, and quality standards. Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Service Offer Development: Collaborate with the service offer department to develop and deliver high-quality service offers to clients, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance project management and customer experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Certifications: Member in good standing and licensed by the Order of Engineers of Quebec.
- Experience: 15 years or more of experience, including 5-10 years of relevant experience in management and leadership of technical teams for large-scale projects within an engineering company.
- Skills: Strong management skills, demonstrated organizational skills, excellent human resources management skills, team spirit, innovation, and passion for work and team.
- Language: Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
