About the Role

The Benefits Associate will work closely with client managers to provide exceptional service support to our clients. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Supporting the implementation of new groups, including gathering and reviewing enrollments, and participating in implementation calls to monitor the process.
  • Providing support to analysts on renewals, including gathering reports, preparing administrative policies, and data entry.
  • Peer reviewing non-refund experience reports prepared by the Gallagher Service Center and sending them to clients.
  • Preparing specialty renewals, such as AD&D renewals.
  • Completing requests for amendments, including updating client booklets and pricing plan design management.
  • Supporting analysts on marketings, including completing employee censuses.
  • Investigating complex inquiries from clients that cannot be resolved by the carrier's Client Service Representative.
  • Contributing to the development of client service programs and metrics that support our client service model.
  • Drafting client materials, including Benefits at a Glance and Employee/Client Presentations.
  • Maintaining internal client management systems.
  • Participating in generating awareness for benchmarking surveys and running benchmarking reports.
  • Understanding and speaking knowledgeably about Gallagher Better Works.

This role is included in the standard service agreement to clients as a Plan Sponsor resource. The Benefits Associate will also have the opportunity to work on special projects and provide direct employee communication with respect to carrier changes, optional benefits, and flex plan re-enrollments.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience in group benefits, including client service, plan administration, and benefits analysis.
  • Successful completion of CEBS, GBA, Life License, or similar designations.
  • A consistent track record of solving complex client challenges through analytical and creative problem-solving, while navigating potentially difficult conversations.
  • A high level of comfort managing client groups of a wide variety of sizes and levels of complexity.
  • Hands-on renewal experience is a definite plus.
