Job Summary

Behaviour Therapist - Centre for Behaviour Health Sciences

Temporary Full Time (Approximately 12 Months)

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Therapist to join our team at Mackenzie Health. As a Behaviour Therapist, you will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment services, including training and staff support, in the delivery of behavioural services. You will work closely with our Behaviour Consultant to design and implement skills promotion and behaviour intervention programs, ensuring compliance with the Standards of Practice outlined by the Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Behaviour Consultant in developing and implementing training programs for mediators, individually or in a group setting, on the principles and procedures of applied behaviour analysis.
  • Develop and implement on-going education (workshops and seminars) to community agencies and parents on the principles and procedures of applied behaviour analysis.
  • Provide assessment and treatment services, including training and staff support, in the delivery of behavioural services.
  • Work closely with the Behaviour Consultant to design and implement skills promotion and behaviour intervention programs.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology and related experience or equivalent.
  • Current certification in First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and a vehicle, with a willingness to travel throughout York Region and/or Simcoe County.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training and experience in crisis prevention.
  • Fluency in the French language.
