Behaviour Technician - Centre for Behaviour Health Sciences
Temporary Full Time (Approximately 12 Months)
We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Technician to join our team at Mackenzie Health. As a Behaviour Technician, you will play a critical role in providing assessment and treatment services, including training and staff support, in the delivery of behavioural services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Behaviour Consultant in designing and implementing skills promotion and behaviour intervention programs, working within established standards of practice.
- Develop and implement training programs for mediators, individually or in a group setting, on the principles and procedures of applied behaviour analysis.
- Design and deliver on-going education workshops and seminars to community agencies and parents.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Psychology or related field, with relevant experience.
- Current certification in First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Valid Ontario driver's license and a vehicle, with willingness to travel throughout York Region and/or Simcoe County.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current clinical experience and knowledge of applied behaviour analysis, particularly in the areas of developmental disabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analytic terminology and concepts.
- Computer literacy in a Windows environment, utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proven attendance record.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
- Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others and demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health's Commitment to Caring.
Language
The preferred language for this role is English, but fluency in French is an asset.
