About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Dr. Diana Mastronardi DPC. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and relaxed.
  • Supply Management: Order dental and office supplies, maintaining a well-stocked inventory to meet the needs of our dental team.
  • Instrument Preparation: Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, adhering to strict sterilization protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • Supply Maintenance: Maintain and order supplies, ensuring our dental practice is equipped with the necessary materials to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Instrument Sterilization: Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment, adhering to strict protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Intra-Oral Duties: Perform intra-oral duties, including taking and developing X-rays, and recording dental procedures performed on patients.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess Healing Arts Radiation Protection (HARP) Certification, membership in the Canadian Dental Assistants Association, and registration with provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Qualities: Possess flexibility, team player skills, accuracy, dependability, excellent oral communication skills, initiative, and reliability.
