Position Title: Integrated Digital Delivery Coordinator

This position plays a crucial role in assisting the Senior Manager of Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) to achieve seamless project outcomes. The focus will be on ensuring that vital information is effectively communicated and coordinated across various engineering disciplines and project components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of site conditions before construction activities commence.
  • Create detailed phased site development drawings in both 2-D and 3-D formats for construction purposes.
  • Oversee the design coordination of utilities, civil works, nuclear projects, industrial projects, and UTS initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain corridors, sections, and profiles for rail and road design alignments.
  • Perform quantity take-offs utilizing cut/fill tracking and XML surface extractions.
  • Support the IDD Director/Manager or project BIM lead in assigning appropriate tasks to the consultant supply chain's Information Managers.
  • Generate coordination reports detailing the interactions between engineering disciplines and construction activities throughout the IDD process.
  • Facilitate the transition from design to construction by employing IDD methodologies such as 5D/4D, focusing on sustainability, digital engineering, and safety considerations.
  • Organize and lead training workshops on IDD tools to empower team members in executing their responsibilities aligned with Aecon's IDD Strategy.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to establish project-specific processes for utilizing or generating 3D information for various project needs.
  • Work closely with field superintendents, design engineers, and construction managers to ensure compliance with constructability requirements.
  • Develop project-specific protocols for communication, data exchange, and interoperability.
  • Guide consultants and trades through multiple project phases using digital logistics and construction management processes.
  • Assist in drafting project-specific contract language for tender packages related to 3D submissions and as-built documentation.
  • Review and manage the creation of Project Information Models to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Handle project deployment tasks, including software installation, CAD exchange environment setup, and providing training and support to project teams.
  • Champion 3D coordination on active job sites, acting as a liaison among project teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Identify and recommend process enhancements to improve overall project efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D with a strong educational and industry background.
  • Experience in 3-D modeling and a minimum of 2 years drafting experience in professional civil design.
  • Familiarity with BIM authoring tools such as REVIT, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Bentley.
  • Proficient in 4D platforms like Navisworks Simulate and Synchro.
  • Knowledge of Common Data Environments including ProjectWise, Procore, ACC, and Aconex.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry practices, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience across all project lifecycle stages is preferred.
  • Experience in large, complex infrastructure projects is desirable.
  • Understanding of design and construction phases in relation to Digital Plans.
  • Experience implementing BIM processes on projects.
  • On-site construction experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work independently.
