About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Atlant Metal Fabrication Ltd. as a Metal Fabrication Specialist. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for fabricating sheet metal products to meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Measure and Mark Sheet Metal: Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates and specifications to ensure accurate cutting and fabrication.
  • Operate Metalworking Machines: Operate metalworking machines, including laser cutters, plasma cutters, and CNC machines, to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
  • Inspect and Test Products: Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications, and test products to ensure they meet customer requirements.
  • Develop Computerized Patterns: Develop computerized patterns and layouts to optimize fabrication processes and improve product quality.
  • Assemble and Install Equipment: Assemble, erect, and install hoisting and rigging equipment, and install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
  • Operate Computer Software: Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and develop sheet metal products.
  • Fabricate and Fit Sheet Metal Parts: Fabricate and fit sheet metal parts to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
