About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Hearts Of Oak Contracting Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and Install Metal Corner Beads: Protect exterior corners with precision and attention to detail.
  • Fabricate and Install Suspended Metal Ceiling Grids: Create and install suspended metal ceiling grids and panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Apply Joint Compound and Finish Joints: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, Cut, and Install Drywall Sheets: Ensure accurate measurements, cuts, and installations of drywall sheets.
  • Smooth and Finish Drywall Surfaces: Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Tape Joints and Embed Tape: Use a taping machine to tape over joints and embed tape in compound.
  • Work Environment and Hours: Work in a fast-paced commercial, industrial, or residential setting, with a standard 40-hour workweek.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Work Language: English.
