Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Family Lawyer to join our team. As a Family Lawyer, you will independently manage family law files, handle a wide range of family law matters, and conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage family law files from beginning to end.
  • Handle separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
  • Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials.
  • Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients.
  • Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications.
  • Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice.
  • Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
  • Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to become part of the community served.
  • Enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
  • Ability to live in Vancouver or Victoria and commute to the other location 2-3 days per week.
What We Offer
  • Base salary depending on the year of call.
