Responsibilities:

Produce a minimum of one digital story daily, which includes researching, reporting, interviewing, writing, fact-checking, and packaging. Format digital stories with a mobile-first approach, focusing on enhancing audience engagement through relevant videos, audio, and photo galleries. Propose stories that align with our objective of reaching new audiences. Respond promptly to breaking news and contribute to live story pages. Collaborate with senior producers to refine story focus and structure. Work closely with editors to enhance headlines and content. Identify and engage a diverse range of sources.

Qualifications:

At least five years of recent experience in a digital news setting. Strong journalistic capabilities. Extensive experience in writing, researching, fact-checking, and packaging digital news content. Awareness of legal and ethical issues in journalism. Cultural sensitivity and awareness. Open-mindedness. Excellent news judgment and ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines. Proven track record of filing same-day stories. Experience with live blogs is a plus. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with text and video content management systems. Familiarity with style guidelines is advantageous. Experience in Search Engine Optimization and Social Media Optimization. University degree or equivalent.
