ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

As a Cloud Financial Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations team, assisting in the oversight of cloud-related expenditures, usage, and processes. Your responsibilities will include working alongside senior financial operations professionals and aiding in the analysis of cloud usage data, budget tracking, and participation in initiatives aimed at process enhancement. By contributing to cost analysis and operational efficiency, you will help shape the future of financial operations in the cloud landscape.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the analysis of cloud usage data and the preparation of comprehensive reports.
  • Monitor the utilization of cloud services and resources to enhance efficiency and minimize unnecessary expenditures.
  • Support the development and execution of strategies aimed at optimizing costs while maintaining quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to guide the implementation of cost-saving measures.
  • Work closely with IT professionals to provide financial support and improve operational efficiency.
  • Aid in budget tracking and contribute to financial forecasting.
  • Ensure that all technology-related expenses, contracts, and agreements comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote initiatives to educate team members on the latest cost-saving techniques and strategies within the IT sector.
  • Stay informed about advancements in cloud services, hardware, and software, ensuring that technology investments are cost-effective and aligned with business objectives.
  • Participate in initiatives focused on process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Experience in accounting or IT roles.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a relevant position.
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing and financial principles.
  • Proficiency in financial and business analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI).
  • Competence in data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • A keen interest in technology and a desire to stay updated in a rapidly evolving field.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Proficiency in creating data models and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial cost optimization tools such as CloudHealth, Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, Flexera Cloud Management Platform, Apptio Cloudability, and Kubernetes Cost Management Tools.
  • Willingness to remain informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in financial operations and cost optimization through self-learning and professional development.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts and insights through presentations and reports, facilitating decision-making at various organizational levels.
