Overview:
We are seeking a Business Analyst to enhance our Financial Operations team. The ideal candidate will contribute to fostering a culture of proactive cost management, transparency, and optimization in public cloud expenditures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote the adoption of Cloud Financial Operations capabilities and best practices within the organization.
  • Establish cost management processes, mechanisms, and controls to ensure ongoing cost transparency and governance.
  • Communicate the value of public cloud adoption use cases to both business and technology teams.
  • Provide insights on commercial aspects and deal economics for strategic vendor partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization, collaborating with the technology team for execution support.
  • Monitor and track cost optimization initiatives and their associated value.
  • Manage vendor commercial incentives, including Reserved Instances and Savings Plans.
  • Define advanced cost recovery models for non-standard allocations, such as shared services and SaaS.
  • Ensure compliance with ongoing cost management practices.
  • Facilitate cross-functional engagement through training and communication initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a technology department with a focus on commercial and financial management.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and public cloud concepts.
  • Familiarity with public cloud cost management tools and mechanics.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and handling large datasets to create data-driven executive materials.
  • Experience in delivering presentations to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in a large organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in effective IT cost management strategies and tools.
  • Knowledge of business chargeback and cost recovery models.
  • Ability to articulate public cloud migration economics and benefits to executive stakeholders.
  • Experience with cost management tools such as Cost Explorer and understanding of cloud billing processes.
  • FinOps or TBM certifications.

Team Overview:

The Technology division collaborates with business units and leading technology firms to innovate our operations in dynamic financial markets. Our mission is to ensure that the Firm manages its global businesses on a resilient, efficient, and flexible technology platform.

The Cloud Fleet team is tasked with accelerating the adoption of public cloud services while balancing risk, capability, and cost. This role is pivotal in supporting the implementation of FinOps practices to ensure effective public cloud cost management.

Our FinOps capabilities are designed to maximize the business value of public cloud investments through robust cost transparency, optimization, and financial controls.

You will play a key role in supporting existing reporting processes and developing new capabilities for both internal and external stakeholders.
