About the Opportunity
The University of Toronto's Faculty of Law is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Officer to lead and manage the annual giving programs on behalf of the Faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic advancement professional to join our team and contribute to the Faculty's ambitious philanthropic and alumni engagement goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement alumni engagement activities that support strategic objectives
- Conceptualize, organize, and execute event activities to engage donors, prospects, and alumni
- Build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
- Review and identify prospects for the annual fund and major gift portfolios
- Implement components of fundraising campaigns and manage volunteer engagement
- Update prospect databases and portfolios, and generate reports as required
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum five (5) years experience as an advancement professional within leadership, annual, major, and/or planned giving environments
- Demonstrated experience in prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and recognition
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to draft, proofread, and edit written material
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and creativity
- Experience with fundraising database software and advanced computer skills
