Job Title: Controller

Our client, a leading provider of outsourced accounting services, is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join their growing team. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions related to assigned client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and implement accounting procedures and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Supervise and train staff accountants to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Analyze and reconcile accounts, and prepare financial statements and related working papers.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, prepare budgets and forecasts, and interact with clients' year-end accountants and government auditors.
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Account Manager to ensure the successful delivery of client engagements.
Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices, consistent with someone near completion of the CPA program.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting systems and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
