About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team at Akshar Accounting & Bookkeeping Services. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting team with various tasks and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Train new employees in accounting duties and policies, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of accounting equipment, including software and hardware.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work-related problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Financial Transactions: Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining the integrity of our financial records.
  • Work Coordination: Coordinate, assign, and review work tasks, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for maintenance and repair work, ensuring our equipment is in good working condition.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate activities with other work units or departments, fostering effective collaboration and communication.
  • Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.
Supervision and Teamwork
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
Computer and Technology Skills
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle a large caseload, working efficiently in a dynamic environment.
