Voyago is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team.


Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Financial Accountant plays a crucial role in overseeing the efficient management of accounting services, budget oversight, and financial reporting for the organization. This position provides leadership and direction to the accounting operational units.


Key Responsibilities

General Ledger Management

Facilitates accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes Oversees invoicing on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including accruals Prepares monthly journal entries related to various financial activities Conducts reconciliations of general ledger accounts Ensures timely payment of Corporate Tax, HST, and other remittances Reviews and authorizes accounts payable expense batches Reviews and approves weekly payment processes Performs bank reconciliations Authorizes patient pay customer service credits Monitors broker payments on a weekly/monthly basis

Financial Reporting

Assists in audit processes, prepares working papers, gathers testing documents, and addresses inquiries Conducts weekly reviews of accounts receivable and accounts payable balances to ensure consistent cash flow Undertakes additional duties as required

Team Collaboration

Supports the Senior Accountant and finance team in maintaining work quality and ensuring accuracy Provides guidance in determining methods and procedures, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities for process enhancement

Client Relations

Investigates and resolves inquiries from Operations Managers and Executives Addresses customer service challenges

Qualifications

Your Profile

You hold a College Diploma or University Degree in Finance or Accounting You possess a recognized accounting designation or equivalent experience You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a management or supervisory role You bring prior experience as an Accountant to this position You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint You have strong verbal and written communication abilities You thrive in a fast-paced work environment You can provide a Clean Criminal Record Search You maintain a high level of confidentiality
