Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Canadian Tire Collingwood.

Job Summary:

The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth. This is a key leadership role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to meet our high standards.
  • Authorize the return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Establish work schedules to ensure that the store is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that stock levels are optimized.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
