Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Linamar. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of skilled and unskilled maintenance workers to ensure the efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to maintenance workers to ensure they are following proper methods and procedures.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is running at optimal levels.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of materials, parts, and specialized tools to ensure they are available when needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect projects to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to maintenance workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent general education.
  • Experience: Minimum five years in a maintenance machining environment and two years as a supervisor.
  • Certifications: Must be licensed electrician (309A or 442A) and have another journeyperson trade certification in a relevant trade.
  • Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft and other software applications, knowledge of fire alarm systems, and usage of Pareto's for failure analysis and diagnostic.
