Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance, Reliability, and Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team at Windsor Salt. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Main Responsibilities
- Health and Safety: Utilize industry best practices to ensure a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant legislation and company policies.
- Technical Expertise: Identify opportunities for improvement and provide input on day-to-day operations, participate in root cause analyses, and collaborate with production to analyze assets and develop improvement programs.
- Employee Management: Direct the bargaining unit workforce, ensuring execution of requirements through planning, communication, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Administrative: Maintain all necessary files and systems, and act as payroll backup for the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Environment/Quality: Ensure adherence to all legislative regulations and corporate policies related to environmental, food safety, and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical, creative problem-solving, planning, and organization skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to manage conflict in a stressful environment.
- Knowledge and application of safe work practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, and Microsoft Project.
Work Environment
- Work in a general office and manufacturing plant environment, with varying temperatures and humidity.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
