Job Title: Community Programs Case Manager

Company: The Salvation Army

Under the supervision of the Director of Community Programs, this position is responsible for providing case management services to clients associated with the Canada Border Service Agency. The role requires regular visits to designated facilities and offices. Key duties include conducting client assessments, formulating case management strategies, addressing diverse client needs, and facilitating community initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly engage with ATD residences
  • Establish a supportive relationship with clients
  • Deliver personalized case management
  • Assist clients in meeting various requirements
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document client interactions
  • Manage critical incidents and emergencies
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings when necessary
  • Implement correctional programs both virtually and in-person
  • Maintain accurate records of participant attendance and generate reports
  • Issue certificates of participation

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based and remote work settings
  • Engagement with individuals facing criminal and immigration challenges
  • Occasional travel and extended hours may be necessary

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Correctional or Social Services
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR
  • Non-Violent Crisis Prevention & Intervention Certification
  • Valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver's License
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in computer applications
