Food Service Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Meltwich Food Co. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.
Key Responsibilities- Food and Supply Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure seamless meal preparation.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
- Scheduling: Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient operations.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
- Support for Youths: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
