About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Meltwich Food Co. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality standards are met
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
  • Hire and manage food service staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient operations
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees through access to community resources, language training, and skills training
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
  • Offer cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
  • Develop mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees
Work Environment

We offer a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week, with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment.
