Job Summary

MELT WICH FOOD CO. is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our food service team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and establish methods to meet work schedules.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns and prepare food order summaries for the chef.
  • Staff Management: Hire food service staff, establish work schedules, and supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment
  • Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
  • 3-4 people supervised
  • Permanent work term
  • 36 hours per week
  • Work Language: English
