Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Recreation Programs Aide to join our team at Extendicare Canada Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating individual and group activation programs for residents under the guidance of the Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and revise programs based on assessed needs, ensuring a high level of resident engagement and satisfaction.
  • Set up and clean activity areas as necessary, and transport residents to and from programs.
  • Monitor resident behavior and condition during programs, reporting any significant changes to the Supervisor and nursing staff as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate program and resident records according to department policy, communicating participation by residents to registered staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and other stakeholders. You will also need to be highly organized, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
