About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university. Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists is also required. Additionally, you will need to have computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and Outlook. Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS) is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and assistants
Working Conditions

This is a permanent part-time position, with 75 hours bi-weekly. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $42.89. Additionally, they may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
