Technology Sales Leader

Role Summary:
The Technology Sales Leader is a pivotal leadership role within the TECH division of our store. This individual possesses a deep passion for and understanding of the diverse categories that comprise the TECH business. The primary goal of this position is to drive growth and elevate the TECH business within the store. As a leader and mentor, the Technology Sales Leader is accountable for achieving financial targets across all TECH sectors, including Photo Electronics, Computer, TECH Services, and Audio Video Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience daily.
  • Develop and nurture a high-performing sales team while managing customer and business-to-business relationships.
  • Act as an ambassador for London Drugs, seeking local community engagement opportunities relevant to the business.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with Store, District, and Business Unit management to enhance customer service in the TECH area.
Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of operational software and support systems within the TECH Department.
  • Familiarity with desktop PCs and Windows operating systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all TECH products and services, including Photo Electronics, PhotoLab, Audio Video Systems, and Computers.
  • Awareness of corporate training programs such as The 7 Habits for Managers and Leadership workshops.
  • Strong merchandising knowledge.
  • Commitment to continuous learning through seminars and product sessions.
  • Willingness to undertake necessary management and technical training.
Essential Duties:
  • Oversee inventory management to align with TECH area and customer needs while ensuring inventory control.
  • Monitor financial performance to maximize profitability.
  • Establish sales goals for the TECH team and hold them accountable for achieving targets.
  • Enhance technical knowledge and business acumen continuously.
  • Promote London Drugs as a premier shopping destination and employer in the community.
  • Ensure the work schedule for the department aligns with company policies and projected sales goals.
  • Stay informed about new products and industry technologies relevant to key areas such as cameras, mobile devices, PCs, TECH Services, and televisions.
