Brandt is seeking a Senior Procurement Analyst to play a crucial role in our procurement operations. This position serves as the primary liaison between Brandt and its essential suppliers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong capability to assess needs, explore supply alternatives, and uncover opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies, while effectively negotiating optimal terms (price, product, delivery).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure maximum value is achieved when acquiring goods and services, focusing on quality, dependability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Oversee daily procurement functions within the designated commodity category.
  • Leverage contracts established by Strategic Sourcing to procure necessary materials and services.
  • Identify and source materials as needed.
  • Engage in effective negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible value, resisting unwarranted additional charges for expedited orders, and escalating any negotiation stalemates to the Supervisor.
  • Generate purchase orders based on requests, requisitions, and production schedule analyses to guarantee timely delivery, while collaborating with manufacturing to prevent parts shortages.
  • Manage purchase orders through to completion, addressing any related inquiries promptly.
  • Adhere to standard purchasing procedures.
  • Recognize and resolve issues related to the procurement process, escalating unresolved matters to the Supervisor.
  • Foster and enhance supplier relationships, resolving any purchasing conflicts between departments and suppliers.
  • Document supplier performance and conduct reviews as necessary.
  • Contribute to procurement initiatives and programs aimed at achieving business objectives and enhancing process efficiencies.
  • Address Accounts Payable concerns related to supplier deliveries.
  • Continuously expand market knowledge.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (if applicable):

  • Maintain Purchase Price Variance of production materials within acceptable limits as per policy.
  • Ensure purchases of services and project materials remain at or below budget.
  • Achieve On-Time Delivery rates for managed suppliers.
  • Demonstrate results in Cost Reduction and Cost Avoidance initiatives undertaken.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Preferred professional certification in Supply Chain or Procurement (SCMA).
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
