Coast Water Systems (CWS) and Engineered Pipe Group (EPG) are dedicated Profit Centers located in Maple Ridge, BC. CWS focuses on the design, fabrication, and assembly of pre-packaged water and wastewater systems, while EPG excels as a leading distributor of high-density polyethylene piping systems, along with maintenance and repair services. This unique setting offers an opportunity to engage in a multifaceted role that encompasses both businesses.

Role Summary

The Profit Center Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of the workplace, providing essential support to all team members. Responsibilities include managing inquiries and directing them appropriately, assisting in the creation and maintenance of various workplace documents, and facilitating meetings and staff functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing of customer shipments on a daily basis.
  • Assist in customer service operations, including handling phone inquiries.
  • Organize and file packing slips, pickers, and reconciled reports.
  • Reconcile daily transactions, including Visa statements, and prepare bank deposits.
  • Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices, debit memos, and cancellations for processing in a timely manner.
  • Address and resolve inquiries from customers, vendors, and the National Support Centre promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Profit Center Manager to maintain production records and project hours.
  • Support the sales team in completing submittal packages.
  • Update and maintain various Excel spreadsheets and Google documents.
  • Provide necessary information to the web designer for website updates and maintain social media platforms as required.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations at customer locations and within the Profit Center.
  • Contribute to all Profit Center activities as a vital member of the team.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Center Manager.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; a college or university degree is an asset.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in customer service, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with basic accounts receivable/payable bookkeeping practices and terminology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and operate the relevant software systems for order processing.
