About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Specialist to join our team at Leetiks Service Center. As a Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our services and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Develop and create high-quality written content, such as reports, briefs, and website content, to engage our target audience.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our team, including data analysis and research.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to analyze consumer buying habits and preferences, and develop strategies to improve our marketing efforts.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate special events and promotions to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Online Presence: Develop and implement online marketing strategies, including e-commerce and website promotions.
  • Business Development: Develop and implement business plans to drive growth and revenue.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Community Engagement: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
  • Settlement Support: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including housing, transportation, and childcare.
  • Social Integration: Support the social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees, including language training and skills development.
  • Mentorship: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Cultural Competency: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Cultural Awareness: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Community Development: Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.

Requirements

  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
