Job Title: Relief Personal Attendant - Autism

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Relief Personal Attendant to join our team at William Konkin Elementary. As a Relief Personal Attendant, you will provide essential support to teachers and professionals in delivering programs for students with autism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers and professionals in delivering regular or alternate programs of study for students with autism.
  • Function as an advocate for students and a collaborative member of the school-based team.
  • Support students with autism in a safe and inclusive environment.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
  • Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate Program
  • Completion of POPARD program (30 hours)
  • BC Driver's License - Class 5 Full Privileged with an exemplary driving record
  • WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
  • 6 months of experience working with people with behavioral disorders
