Job Summary

We are seeking a Relief Personal Support Worker to provide assistance to teachers and other professionals in the delivery of regular or alternate programs of study for students with autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to students with autism in a classroom setting
  • Assist teachers and other professionals in the delivery of programs and services
  • Function as an advocate for students and as a collaborative member of the school-based team
  • Support students with autism in developing their skills and abilities
Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
  • Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate Program
  • Completion of POPARD program (30 hours)
  • BC Driver's License - Class 5 Full Privileged with an exemplary driving record
  • WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
  • 6 months of experience working with people with behavioral disorders
