Work Schedule:
The selected candidate must be available for 12-hour shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, with the flexibility to cover additional shifts as necessary. Please be aware that schedules may be adjusted based on operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities As an Emergency Care Nurse, you will play a vital role within the interdisciplinary team, delivering compassionate and family-centered emergency medical care.Qualifications
- Valid registration with the relevant nursing regulatory body.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and a commitment to obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months.
- A minimum of two years of recent experience in an emergency department setting.
- Completion of an accredited Coronary Care 1 program or proof of current enrollment, or willingness to complete within six months of employment.
- Membership in a nursing association is preferred.
- Critical Care Certification and/or Emergency Nursing Certification (ENC) is a significant advantage.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certifications are highly recommended.
- Strong physical assessment skills; completion of Physical Assessment courses is beneficial.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Demonstrated commitment to a patient and family-centered care environment.
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team as well as independently.
- Well-developed organizational, communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership experience.
- Strong attendance and performance records, with a commitment to maintaining these standards.
- Commitment to fostering a healthy and safe workplace for all individuals by adhering to organizational policies and health and safety regulations.
