About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Swiss Chalet. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve restaurant efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant staff.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to staff members.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met, including prompt and friendly service, accurate orders, and a clean and welcoming dining environment.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Marketing and Sales
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty.
    • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet sales targets.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
    • Develop and implement procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  • Support for Diversity and Inclusion
    • Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
    • Provide training and support to staff members to ensure a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
  • Support for Employees
    • Provide support and resources to employees to help them succeed in their roles.
    • Develop and implement programs to promote employee engagement and retention.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
    • Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales growth
